About Us

Greenpeace was founded in 1971 and is internationally renowned for its environmental investigations, direct actions, and policy advocacy. Upholding the principles of impartiality, independence, and bearing witness, Greenpeace has made a significant impact on the topic of climate, oceans, forests, energy, and plastics over the years. The efforts have led to changes in the decisions of many governments, businesses, and international organizations steering towards environmental protection and sustainability.

Why Green Future

In 2019, millions of young students around the world took to the streets in response to the "Fridays for Future" climate movement. This youth climate action sounded the alarm on climate issues globally.

With deep appreciation, Greenpeace East Asia launched the “Green Future Project”, a  climate and environmental education project, in 2020. This initiative aims to provide abundant resources for climate and environmental learning, guiding young students to understand climate issues and face the future, and inspiring youth with climate literacy to take action and speak out for the planet.

Our Mission

Since 2020, Green Future has developed a variety of learning resources and teaching materials, including online platforms, interactive games, animations, and in-person workshops for teachers and students across different subjects, age groups, and regions. We also host on-campus lectures to facilitate student discussions on climate and environmental issues.

Our focus is on providing engaging materials that foster independent learning and spark student interest in climate topics. We encourage creativity and advocacy, motivating students to take initiative and drive youth-led change. For teachers and parents, we offer extensive teaching resources, workshops, special lectures, and community exchange opportunities to support and enhance their educational efforts.

Green Future is dedicated to supporting the next generation of environmental advocates and climate activists while reinforcing climate and environmental education in schools. Our mission includes backing educators and continually updating educational content to meet evolving needs.
